Final Response (14)

Final Reflection

The goal of this site is to provide encouragement to people who have to confront a health problem. This encouragement is based on God's Promise of healing. I think the most goals of this site have been met, but there is much left ot be done. I am hoping to continue to help with this site for as long as I can so Dawn can help as many people as she can with he ministry. The goals that were not met would be more complicated graphics and more content. There is plenty of room to grow this site.
The contact page and about us pages are not completed yet because Dawn has not finalized her contact information. We are hoping to place a way for users to contact her ands share their stories.
My favorite part of this project is the feel and appeal. I like the graphic and colors. I love Dawn's story.
If I had more time I would add more content more links and more of her favorite songs and books. I will probably add more later in the year. This a very busy time for both of us.

Official Response 13

I have learned that creating effective web content will attract visitors, win the trust of the folks visiting my site, convince people to buy stuff from my site. I have learned that it is important to make every page just as good as the home page just in case that page is where the viewers start. I have learned that making good use of the words on my page will help with search results.

I have learned to be as concise as possible.
I have learned to keep my lines short.

Titles and Headings
I have learned the value of effective headings.
I have learned the value of keep the information in chunks.

Project one was a site for my interests and a place to display my work for the class. The second project is a place to display the works of my client. A meeting place for her ideas and desires and a crossroad for my skill level. I wish I would have had more experience with the programs before I started. I could have relaxed more and this class would have been more fun. Constantly worrying about the software application made me nervous about making changes and corrections.

Official Response 12

Participation

My participation in the group discussion has been very good, but not the best. I have posted every week. As with most of the rest of my group though, I tended to post at the end of the week. I do think it would have been better if all of us would have posted at the beginning of the week to better facilitate more timely responses, but being we were all pretty much on the same page, most of us were able to respond to each other by Monday or so the following week. I have always gone back to previous weeks and responded to whoever had added. I always check each line to see if there are any new posts.

I have responded to almost everyone in the group at least one time that particular week. I think it is very important to acknowledge someone's entry. AND more importantly, the entries are where I have gained many of my ideas, especially from Jinan. She is very helpful to the entire group. Most of the time my responses have been encouraging to the group. Sometimes I have pointed out something that I think the member of our group should know.

The peer reviews were personally difficult for me as I think many of the sites were better than mine, so I felt they did a better job. I did however give my opinion as I saw fit.

All in all I think my participation was good but could have been more timely.

Official Response 10

This week has been a bust!
I have not been able to get anything done this week. Planning has been interupted by everything (life). Next week I will be working on getting another place to put this site on steel. I have no idea how to do this. Do I just need another profile? I am also going to expand my keyword tables and find out what meta tags are.I think they are important...LOL

Then it is content. I need to plan a sit down with my contact to discuss content and other ideas.
The struggle continues...

Official Response #9

Communication

My contact and I communicate as often as we can. We talk person to person on our breaks at work. We communicate through email and on the telephone when necessary. The difficulty we find in finding time to talk about the site is that she works two jobs now and is only at our work part time, and I am working full time and taking three classes. We both have families (teenagers) that need our attention. Our busy lives work against us, but we try to keep up with each other as often as we can. Sitting next to each other at work really helps, although we really cannot talk all the time as you might expect our employer expects us to do their work.
